COVID-19 POLICIES

We’re facing the COVID-19 challenge head-on

By evolving and adapting with new ways of caring for patients to ensure safety.

We realize that as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may feel apprehensive about visiting your doctor’s office. Please rest assured that throughout this public health crisis, the safety of patients and staff has, as always, been our number one priority. Salmon Falls Family Healthcare has remained open and available to all patients throughout the pandemic, implementing all state of NH and CDC recommended safety protocols along the way.

We are fully prepared to care for you and your family. Upon your next visit, these are some of the changes in appointment protocols and safety precautions you will notice:

Virtual Visits

  • Prior to scheduling an appointment

Patients are given telephonic pre-screenings/triage, after which a virtual or sick room evaluation may be recommended.

  • For the comfort and safety of our patients and staff

Telehealth, or virtual visits, are offered for many types of visits. These are conveniently performed using HIPAA compliant software via smartphone, tablet or computer.

In-Office Visits

We have continued seeing patients in-office for routine visits, sick visits, and pediatric visits while following CDC and State of NH guidelines, taking the following safety measures.

  • Separate Entrances

Patients to be seen in-office are masked and are directed to separate entrances for particular reasons and patient type.

    • Healthy/Routine Visit Symptom-free patients coming for routine appointments are asked to wear a mask and may enter through the front entrance.
    • Acute/Sick Visits In-office appointments are available for sick visits. Upon arrival, call to check in with the front office. A medical assistant will greet you and guide you to a dedicated exam room area. Patients are asked to wear a mask when entering the building.
  • Distancing

Waiting room chairs have been spaced out at least 6 feet apart. In addition to this, we ask that all patients and staff maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others during their visit.

  • Screening

Patients We are asking all patients with any symptoms of sickness to call ahead and await staff instruction prior to entering the building.

  • Masks

All patients and staff must wear a mask when inside the building to protect against the spread of COVID-19. Patients without a mask will have one provided for them.

Facility Cleaning & Disinfecting

To supplement our normal office cleaning routine, additional cleaning and disinfecting of lobby, patient exam rooms, and staff workstations and areas are performed frequently throughout each day. Patient exam rooms are cleaned between each visit. Toys and magazines have been removed from the waiting area for the time being. Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed at each checkout window for easy access and convenience.
