Treatment Philosophy: “My philosophy is grounded in being both an educator and an advocate for my patients with a person centered approach. This fundamental principle recognizes that treatment plans are tailored to individual needs by treating the patient as a whole. I believe that encompassing all components of health should include emotional, environmental, genetic, social, physical and spiritual needs. By working together, my goal is to help patients achieve optimal health outcomes and develop a rapport with them that is based on trust and open communication.”

Professional Journey: “I started volunteering at our local hospital as a candy striper when I was a teenager and from that point on I knew I wanted to be in health care. After being a nurse for 12 years, I knew deep down that it was my dream to become a provider. I have always had profound respect for family medicine as it is the only area of health care that treats patients across the lifespan. Unlike other specialties that are limited to a particular organ or disease, family practice providers offer a comprehensive health care approach to people of all ages and I am honored to be a part of that.”

Special Interests: “My interests are diverse and I enjoy patient care across the lifespan. I am true believer and practitioner of functional medicine by examining the underlying cause of illness rather than merely alleviating symptoms. I also enjoy working with pediatric patients as they develop through adolescence into early adulthood. In addition, working with those patients in need of support with substance abuse has always been a passion of mine.”

When I’m not treating my patients, I enjoy… Being outside and traveling! I am an avid runner, pure barre student, yogi, snowboarder & surfer. I enjoy flower and herb gardening and spending time with my beautiful family. I love great restaurants, a great movie, a great book, a great cup of coffee, the ocean, and of course…. chocolate:)”
