Our Practice

As one of the few family practices that is independently owned and operated, Salmon Falls has the flexibility to do things differently. Our primary care providers get to know you on a first-name basis and take the time to answer your questions. We really know our patients: you’re not just a faceless chart or a serial number. Our job is to learn about you as a person, and to listen and respond with thoughtful, compassionate care. That’s the way we’ve been doing business for over a quarter-century. It’s what our patients have come to expect and deserve.

Over the Years

Salmon Falls Family Healthcare was founded in 1987, when Dr. Edwin Charle and Dr. Patrick Clary, who date their friendship back to their family practice residencies in Brooklyn, New York, moved their families to New Hampshire and took over an existing family practice. Dr. Clary left Salmon Falls after 17 years to dedicate himself full-time to hospice care.

Claire Menard joined us in 1992 after practicing locally in Dover for seven years. Dr. Bert Cole started at Salmon Falls in 2009, followed by Leah Clough in 2010.

We celebrated our 31st year of serving the primary care needs of our community, at the same Somersworth location where we first opened our doors in the fall of 1987.
